Chapter Twelve - The Elderly Man
My husband and I were invited to someone’s party. It wasn’t a swinging party, as such, so we decided to give it a go. It was a swinger who owned the house so we knew what it would be might be like but we hadn’t been out for ages, having had most of our own parties at home and so we decided to accept. When we arrived though we wished once again we had stuck to our rule and left well alone, especially as there were a lot of older people there. Wrinklies everywhere!
My husband and I had drunk a bottle of wine between us before we left home but as he wanted to be well on his way to being drunk by the time we arrived, I was almost sober and wanted to keep my wits about me.
It was a grand old house, massive in fact, out in the country with lots of luxurious cars parked outside in a courtyard decorated by stone paving and potted plants.
We walked inside the main room which was really an extension of the hall-way and which opened up into an enormous reception room almost oval in shape, lined by wood panelled on the walls and tiled floors underfoot. The room was lit by ornate chandeliers which seemed to be dripping with diamonds as they sparkled above us. It was the grandest house I had ever been in and certainly the biggest.
A gathering of champagne glasses sat on the side on a table draped in a pure white tablecloth and we took one each as we passed. I was wearing my purple dress, long and figure hugging so no pants could be worn for fear they would show. It was also very low cut at the both the front and back as it plunged deep from the shoulders and so therefore no bra could be worn either. My breasts, my secret weapon, were perfectly formed so I was therefore able, at that time, to get away with a dress like that. It was my favourite dress back then and showed off my curves in a way that made me feel sexy and confident. I wore a new pair of Kurt Geiger pewter Mary Jane heels I had purchased to go with my dress. My husband was earning good money then and so was I so I began splashing out more on designer clothes and accessories but my favourite dress was a bargain I picked up from a dress hire shop. I wondered some times who might have hired it or worn it before but I was sure that no-one ever wore it like I did.
Naturally I turned a few heads as we walked through the crowd holding hands and immediately I noticed one elderly gentleman’s eyes following me everywhere I went. As we mingled some couples we met wanted to swap partners for the evening but we turned them down! Eventually the elderly man who had been eyeing me up came over to us.
